CALL TO ACTION #785: With Trump, “All Roads Lead to Putin” (October 22, 2019)
377 Days
Until the 2020 Election
WITH TRUMP
“ALL ROADS LEAD TO PUTIN”
When Trump abandoned the Kurds, the move rattled nations that also have long-standing security alliances with the U.S. Their concern: Which ally would Trump cast aside next? Japan? South Korea? All of Europe?
Trump continues to repay Putin’s election interference:
- In Ukraine, Trump encouraged that country’s president to effectively cede a large portion of Ukraine to Russia.
- In Syria, the Kurds had to turn for help to the region’s newest powerbroker, Russia.
- NATO, a mutual security agreement, a mutual agreement holding back Russian aggression, has been a constant Trump target.
- In North Korea, Trump turned to Putin to advise him on dealing with Kim Jong-un.
- In the U.S., Trump has made it his mission to divide Americans against one another. This was the primary tactic Putin used in the 2016 elections.
All of this and much more lead Nancy Pelosi to stand and confront Trump: “With you, all roads lead to Putin.”
Just days ago, Admiral (Ret.) William McRaven wrote that if Trump can’t demonstrate leadership, both at home and abroad, then it’s time for a new President. We agree. Please call your MOCs and tell them how you feel.
Time for a New President!
Impeach Trump!
Where’s Greg Walden!?!
Time for a New ORD2 Congressperson!
**ACTION ONE: CALL OUR SENATORS**
SAMPLE SCRIPT FOR SENATORS MERKLEY AND WYDEN:
“My name is [–] and I’m a constituent from [town/city], Oregon [zip code]. I am calling because . . .
. . . Trump’s foreign policy, especially with our allies, is needlessly making the world a far more dangerous place. I support legislation condemning Trump’s actions in Syria. It’s urgent Trump be impeached and removed.
Thank you.”

**ACTION TWO: CALL COMPLICIT GREG WALDEN**
SAMPLE SCRIPT FOR WALDEN:
“My name is [–] and I’m a constituent from [town/city], Oregon [zip code]. I am calling because . . .
. . . Trump’s foreign policy, especially with our allies, is needlessly making the world a far more dangerous place. It’s urgent Trump be impeached and removed. Greg Walden’s position of placing the Republican party over the dangers Trump presents are a violation of both his oath of office and his commitment to voters like me.
Through Greg’s actions and inactions — the silence is deafening— he continues to signal that he fully supports Trump, regardless of how much damage Trump is doing to our democracy and to world stability. Know that we are still here, we will hold him accountable, we are working to flip his seat BLUE — #2020IsNow!
