KILL THE BILL

#KillTheBill
#NoCutsNoCaps
#AmericanDeathCareAct

The Senate’s new healthcare bill is out. It is so bad they exempted themselves from it http://bit.ly/2tNwQKF.

We stopped the last version of the bill. Now we have to stop this one. Our deadline to make a difference is Tuesday July 18th. Next week there is projected to be a vote for a “motion to proceed” to a formal vote. If 50 Senators agree to this motion, then Sen. McConnell will have the votes to pass Trumpcare. http://bit.ly/2viIR8V

We need three NO votes. Our best shots at getting to NO are Senators Capito (WV), Murkowski (AK), Heller (NV), Sullivan (AK), Flake (AZ) and Collins (ME). Late word from Collins’ website: She’s a NO. She still needs calls.

Think hard about anyone you know in these states: people in organizations of which you are part, professional groups, alumni groups, or clubs; former work buddies, your college roommate.

Reach out. Be creative. #KeepGoing!

And call our Senators EVERY DAY. They are asking us to call. They need our support to fight this fight. http://bit.ly/2uXFvZm
The GOP are counting on us to tire out. We must keep going! We must keep calling! We must . . .

KILL THE BILL!

**ACTION 1: CALL SENATORS WYDEN AND MERKLEY**

SAMPLE SCRIPT
“My name is [–] and I’m a constituent from [city], Oregon. I believe that the country can’t afford the damage that this Republican health care bill will cause. This is a national emergency! Thank you for standing up against Trumpcare. Please continue to do all you can do to defeat the bill. Thank you.”

**ACTION 2: CALL FAMILY AND FRIENDS – esp. in WV, AK, NV, AZ AND ME**

Talk to friends and family about why it is so important to stop Trumpcare. And help them to call and tell their Senators to vote NO on the bill. Here are resources and numbers https://www.trumpcareten.org/

**ACTION 3: RESIST ON SOCIAL MEDIA THIS WEEKEND**

Share this Daily Action. Encourage people to call and share their stories, too. Don’t worry about repeating ourselves. It might take a few times to educate the decision makers and the media. Work over the weekend to keep the fight to stop Trumpcare in the headlines. The Senate needs to know we are fighting for America’s health.

If you can’t call during business hours, leave a voice mail! It all makes a difference!
