CALL TO ACTION: Congress Must Force Release of Unredacted Mueller Report (April 12, 2019)
CONGRESS MUST FORCE RELEASE OF UNREDACTED MUELLER REPORT
Two days of testimony strongly suggests (Fake) Attorney General Barr is trying to bury the worst findings of Mueller’s 2-year probe, an investigation that issued over 2,8000 grand jury subpoenas, generated 34 indictments, yielded $50 million in forfeitures and fines. He is openly representing Trump’s interests rather than those of the American people.
While Barr presents himself as reasonable, he’s much too partisan to determine what Congress can see. Consider that he:
- Shared an unsolicited 19-page memo hostile to Mueller’s investigation with Trump’s legal team before nominated as Attorney General
- Wrote a 4-page summary exonerating Trump of obstructing justice, although Mueller’s report explicitly failed to draw that conclusion
- Is selectively editing Mueller’s report, withholding evidence from Congress and the public
- Has refused to seek court approval to release grand jury material
- Accepted Trump’s unsupported claim that the FBI “spied” on his campaign and announced plans to investigate
In other words, Barr has replaced Michael Cohen as Trump’s fixer.
Trump is so afraid of Mueller’s findings seeing the light of day that he will fight to the bitter end to prevent its release. That’s not acceptable to We The People! Keep pressuring our Members of Congress to . . .
