One of the strongest advocates for the immigrant children being held in cages on the border is our own senator, Jeff Merkley.
He has visited the camps, witnessed this horrible situation, and advocated for their care and their release every day. Please join us at our next Teach & Greet when a representative from his staff tells us about his work there and what we can do to make a difference.
In addition, we will be collecting food items to help restock the shelves at local food banks. PLEASE BRING NON-PERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS AND DONATE GENEROUSLY!
