CALL TO ACTION: Support Dreamers and Families (March 21, 2019)

SUPPORT DREAMERS AND FAMILIES

The Dream and Promise Act was introduced in the House on March 12.  It’s an opportunity to protect millions of our neighbors and their families. These people have been contributing to our communities for decades.

It would stop Trump’s attempts to end DACA and the Temporary Protected Status program by:

  • Allowing DREAMers to apply for legal residency and eventual citizenship
  • Allowing those in TPS, who have come here fleeing war, violence and natural disaster, to apply for permanent legal status
  • Repealing a 1996 act that penalizes states that grant in-state tuition based on residency rather than immigration status
  • Preventing HSA from using information on DACA and TPS applications to arrest and deport immigrants. We can help millions of young people to continue their education and find long term stability in the only home they know

We can help hundreds of thousands of our neighbors who face removal from their homes and families.  We can stop their forced return to the violence and danger they fled.  We can keep families together. We call on our elected officials to pass HR6 in the House and fight for the passage of a Senate version.

We Stand With All Immigrants!
