Call to Action: January 30, 2019

STOP THE WALL

STOP FAMILY SEPARATION

Trump and his GOP regime shut down our government for a racist wall.  While the country suffered through a shutdown that put people in danger and forced others to work without pay, disturbing information about how far they will go to further their racist ideals came to light.

This administration (led by DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen and White House adviser Stephen Miller) has willfully and maliciously sought policies to deter immigrants showing little value for human life.

  • Senator Merkley released a December 2017 memo where the Trump administration outlined the policy of family separation—months before Sessions announced it—and a plan for denying asylum hearings to children to speed up deportation.
  • The Inspector General found that family separation began in the summer of 2017 (one year before the “zero tolerance policy”) where thousands of children were separated from their families with no records or plans for reunification.
  • Against Mexico’s wishes and on dubious legal footing, the Trump administration is sending asylum seekers to wait for their trial in Mexico.

Seeking Asylum is Legal!

Keep Families Together!

Pass Real Immigration Reform!
