OREGON STATE SENATORS BOYCOTT DELIBERATION OF CAP AND TRADE
Before we turn to today’s national Call to Action, let’s take a look at the unacceptable behavior of fourteen GOP Oregon state senators who have once again walked out to deny the Senate a quorum. Action One below addresses our Rapid Response to this legislative malpractice.

WE WON’T LET TRUMP STEAL ANOTHER ELECTION
Recent disclosures of Russia’s ongoing 2020 election interference should terrify us all.
- Head of Director of National Intelligence (DNI) election security unit warned House lawmakers that Russia is trying to sow dissension among Dems with the ultimate goal of getting Trump re-elected
- Rather than simply impersonating Americans, as done in 2016, Russia is manipulating Americans to repeat disinformation from servers located in the USA
What terrified Trump was not the DNI’s briefing’s substance, but its disclosure to Congress. He responded by immediately replacing top DNI officials with unqualified loyalists.
- New Director, Richard Grenell, is a former FOX commentator with no intelligence experience who previously worked for an Eastern European oligarch banned from the U.S. for corruption
- New deputy, Kashyap Patel, is an ex-Nunes aide who authored a memo discrediting the investigation of Russia’s 2016 meddling
Grenell has already sought access to intelligence agencies’ information Trump would love to use against his “enemies.” These Trump’s purges will discourage future sharing of Russian interference with Congress.
GOP Senators claimed that the outcome of the upcoming November election, not the Senate, should determine Trump’s future. These latest developments call into question the election’s integrity.
We cannot allow Trump to abet Moscow’s attack on our national security via election meddling. Demand that Congress secure our elections to protect American democracy from domestic and foreign enemies.
