*** Voting Alert***
Oregon voter pamphlets are arriving in the mail. Ballots for the May election began arriving last week. Now it’s about getting ballots marked and delivered by May 21, 8 pm!
Every vote for every office in every election
Please be sure that you and every registered voter you know participates! Oregon makes voting so easy there is absolutely no excuse for sitting out any election and letting others determine how your government will be formed.
AN IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY MUST COVER TRUMP’S REFUSAL TO PROTECT OUR ELECTIONS
Russia is still interfering in our elections. Trump’s 90-minute conversation with Putin shows our vulnerability under Trump. Trump dismissed Russian election interference and agreed with Putin that the Mueller report turned a mountain into a “mouse.”
Our elections must be secured, yet:
- Trump has stifled a government-wide investigation of election interference
- The $380 million voted by Congress before the 2018 election isn’t enough to cover the costs of replacing major election systems across a whole state
- McConnell refuses to bring up the House-passed HR 1 or any Senate bill to increase election protections
- For the first time in modern memory, voters across the political spectrum may mistrust election results
WE BELIEVE that Trump has committed an impeachable offense by refusing to protect elections from outside interference.
WE ASK the House to hold an impeachment inquiry that includes this dereliction of duty as one of many “high crimes and misdemeanors.”
WE ASK the Senate to secure our elections by passing the companion bill to HR 1, which provides comprehensive protections for the right to vote.
Put Country Before Party!
Protect Our Elections!
**ACTION ONE: CALL OUR SENATORS**
SAMPLE SCRIPT FOR SENATORS WYDEN AND MERKLEY:
“My name is [–] and I’m a constituent from [town/city], Oregon [zip code]. I am calling because . . .
. . . I believe that Trump has committed an impeachable offense by refusing to protect elections from outside interference. I am calling to thank the Senator for co-sponsoring the companion bill to HR 1, which provides comprehensive protections for the right to vote. I urge him to do all he can to pressure McConnell to allow the bill a hearing and vote. Thank you.”

**ACTION TWO: CALL COMPLICIT GREG WALDEN**
SAMPLE SCRIPT FOR WALDEN:
. . . I am deeply concerned by Trump’s leadership in eroding our election system, and OUTRAGED that Greg continues to support this Constitution busting behavior! Trump’s refusal to protect elections from outside interference is an impeachable offense. I demand that Greg use his leadership to shine a spotlight on Russian interference. His oath of office demands that he step back from tribalist concerns and act on the extensive evidence of Trump’s lawless, impeachable offenses.
Greg Walden’s SILENCE IS CONSENT!
Through his actions and inactions, Greg appears to fully support Trump—regardless of how much damage Trump is doing to our democracy and world stability. Let him know that we are still here, that we will be working to flip his seat BLUE — #2020StartsNow!
