CALL TO ACTION: Trump Not Fit To Be President (March 26, 2019)
TRUMP NOT FIT TO BE PRESIDENT
Michelle Obama saw that the Presidency doesn’t change who you are, “it reveals who you are.” Since his election, Trump has revealed himself daily. Now, we can say with confidence that, beyond the Mueller report, Trump is unfit for the office.
- He uses racism to set Americans against one another
- He cares little about the future as he cancels the Paris agreement, deepens the nation’s debt at a record pace, and strains alliances with friendly nations
- He cruelly orders kids be taken from their parents and locked in cages
- He has appointed people of questionable reputation whose careers often have been dedicated to weakening the government
- His corruption is so extensive that the US had to be removed from the list of the 20 least corrupt countries
- He demonstrates little regard for the Rule of Law, the Intelligence Community or the Constitution
Our future will be in a country deep in debt, with a perilous climate and rising international threats, all with little confidence in journalism, the intelligence community, law enforcement, elections or governing.
Don’t be distracted!
Trump is dismantling our democracy. We must use every ounce of strength to fight for a better future than the one Trump is engineering.
Do Not Normalize Trump!
**ACTION ONE: CALL OUR SENATORS**
SAMPLE SCRIPT for Senators Wyden and Merkley:
“My name is [–] and I’m a constituent from [town/city], Oregon [zip code]. I am calling because . . .
. . . we need the full Mueller report. It can end the speculation about Trump and Russia. It is also valuable for two equally important reasons:
- It may provide us with a better understanding of Russia’s attack on the 2016 election. We need that analysis so the voting infrastructure can be hardened and to strengthen public trust in the results of the 2020 election
- We need to compare the Mueller report against the Trump/Russia stories in the mainstream media. These stories are now strikingly out of sync with the Barr summary and threaten to undermine confidence in journalism
Beyond the report, we demand to see Trump’s business and personal tax returns.
Thank you.”

**ACTION TWO: CALL COMPLICIT GREG WALDEN**
SAMPLE SCRIPT FOR WALDEN:
“My name is [–] and I’m a constituent from [town/city], Oregon [zip code]. I am calling because . . .
. . . we need the full Mueller report. It can end the speculation about Trump and Russia. It is also valuable for two equally important reasons:

Beyond the report, we demand to see Trump’s business and personal tax returns.
Please ask Greg Walden this question: which is it, your party our the future of American Democracy? Are you a patriot sworn to uphold the Constitution or a partisan Republican hack? #2020StartsNow.
Thank you.”
