This regime has been awash in corruption since the moment Trump descended his golden escalator to announce his candidacy.
Membership in Mar-a-Lago purchases access to Trump, his family and his administration:
- Big donor Mar-a-Lago members were given direct access to V.A. officials. They had significant influence on policy decisions, including a $10 billion contract
- Cindy Yang is accused of organizing networks of sex trafficking, including one parlor patronized by Trump’s friend Robert Kraft. She has ties to Chinese government groups. Her other business hosts Chinese clients at Mar-a-Lago events and boasts of access to Trump, his family, and administration officials
Corporations and foreign interests pay-to-play by funneling money to Trump businesses:
- Foreign shell companies contributed $107 million collected for Trump’s inauguration. Much of the money went to Trump businesses
- Saudis made large investments in Trump properties while seeking nuclear technology
- T-Mobile spent $195,000 at Trump International in Washington the day the Sprint merger went to the administration for approval
Trump’s Washington hotel is a building owned by the US government. Trump profits daily from payments made there by foreign governments and interests, who expect a return on their investment.
Greg Walden does not seem to care; his silence is consent.
