Call to Action: State of Our Union Must Be Strong and Just (February 5, 2019)

THE STATE OF OUR UNION MUST BE

STRONG AND JUST

The State of our Union must be strong.  The State of our Union must be just.  The State of our Union must be open.

To have a strong and just Union we need a Congress that:

  • Expands healthcare
  • Expands voting rights
  • Protects our safety net
  • Passes fair tax policies
  • Protects the environment
  • Provides oversight
  • Acts as a co-equal branch of government

To have a strong and just Union we need a President that does all of the above and:

  • Values truth
  • Stands up to racism
  • Celebrates diversity
  • Keeps families together
  • Is respected on the global stage
  • Unites America

To have a strong and just Union we must all continually participate in our democracy by engaging our MoCs through phone calls and district visits to pass progressive policies and provide oversight. To get there, we vote for candidates who champion progressive policies.

Today we ask our MoCs to act for a strong and just Union.  We demand they:

Pass a spending bill with NO money for the wall!

Stop and investigate family separation at the border!

Expand voting rights by passing HR1!
