DAYS UNTIL BALLOTS DUE: 28
STOP HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES AT THE BORDER
Ignoring warnings about causing trauma, the Trump administration created family separation at the border and is defying court orders to end this heinous practice. 12,800 migrant children are in detention and are at times the victims of abuse. Latest reports document the Trump Administration . . .
- Locking a child in a cage for a month
- Locking up infants with no way to identify & reunite babies with parents
- Lying about a central database to reunite families
Walden is Silent.
Apparently, he approves of Trump’s Child Abuse Policy.
The agony will only get worse as a rule has been proposed to prolong the detention of children, adults who come forward to care for children are being arrested and deported, and contracts have been awarded for additional detention camps.
On the state level, Measure 105 would throw out Oregon’s existing sanctuary law, which could allow racial profiling that leads to the separation of families.
- Opposing Measure 105: Governor Kate Brown, the Oregonian editorial board, 100’s of organizations including law enforcement officers
- Supporting Measure 105: Gubernatorial candidate Knute Buehler, anti-immigrant groups (Oregonians for Immigration Reform and the Federation of Immigration Reform)
Save Oregon’s Sanctuary Status!
NOOOO! On Measure 105!
