***Today’s Call To Action***

IS TRUMP ACTUALLY TRYING TO KILL US?

Trump is undermining every aspect of the fight against COVID-19 (C-19), as if his objectives DO NOT INCLUDE SAVING LIVES.

On social distancing: Trump’s “LIBERATE” campaign has encouraged well-armed “protesters” to trample social distancing and bully state officials into “re-opening.” Premature re-openings will mingle infected and uninfected people and result in new case spikes and prolong the outbreak.

On masks: Trump doesn’t wear one because “it sends the wrong message.” So, bearing one’s face has become a macho MAGA demonstration of “patriotism” and disdain for science. Masks work. In densely populated Hong Kong, nearly everyone has worn a mask since the outbreak’s start. The city has had four C-19 deaths. Four.

Pushing quack remedies: After promoting bleach as a cure, compulsive liar Trump says he is taking hydroxychloroquine, a drug with no proven C-19 benefits, but DOES present risks to heart health.

Threatening the global response: In his fake spat with China, attempting to shift blame, he threatens to “permanently” pull the US contribution to the WHO. This will slow compiling global data, delaying insights and discoveries.

Alarmed public health experts know the C-19 risk will not end anywhere until it ends everywhere.

Stand Up! Speak Out!

Trump’s Corrupt Crew has One Objective:

Holding Onto Power at ANY COST

They Don’t Mind Killing Us to Succeed

**ACTION ONE: CALL OUR U.S. SENATORS**

SAMPLE SCRIPT FOR SENATORS MERKLEY and WYDEN:

“My name is [–] and I’m a constituent from [town/city], Oregon [zip code].

At first, Trump seemed unable to protect first responders. Now he appears to be unconcerned about Americans unnecessarily dying. He has directed or cheered efforts to undo every public health action taken to fight COVID-19 – deriding masks and social distancing and promoting quackery and dangerous potions. I ask that the Senator speak out every time Trump endangers the public health response to the pandemic.

Thank you.”

SENATOR JEFF MERKLEY

**ACTION TWO: CALL COMPLICIT GREG WALDEN**

SAMPLE SCRIPT FOR WALDEN:

“My name is [–] and I’m a constituent from [town/city], Oregon [zip code].

At first, Trump seemed unable to protect first responders. Now he appears to be unconcerned about Americans unnecessarily dying. He has directed or cheered efforts to undo every public health action taken to fight COVID-19 – deriding masks and social distancing and promoting quackery and dangerous potions.

Tell Greg Walden that his silence makes him complicit with all of this evil. He can spend his remaining months in office speaking out against the destruction of America and the desecration of the U.S. Constitution, or he can go down in history as an accomplice to these crimes.

Thank you.”

COMPLICIT GREG WALDEN
