Americans are participating in the most consequential election of our time, giving us the opportunity to change the country’s direction and limit the inhumanity championed by the leadership of the Republican party—Trump, McConnell, Ryan and . . .
Complicit Walden!
This election is spotlighting the outrageous behavior by Republican candidates at all levels. With nothing positive to offer, they paint all Democrats and progressives as evil, attack the media and stoke fears against “the other”—including people of color, immigrants, Muslims, Jews, women and the LGBTQ community.
The abusive verbal attacks seem to be inciting the Trump regime’s base:
- A fervent Trumpist mailed bombs to prominent Dems and news outlets, which could have killed many innocent people
- A white supremacist tried to attack a church in Kentucky, then murdered two black people nearby
- An anti-immigrant, anti-Semite killed 11 Jewish people worshipping in a Pittsburg synagogue
To defeat this bigotry and fear-mongering, we must continue to tell our Members of Congress to protect and strengthen our democracy by:
- Passing a new Voting Rights Act, promoting voter turnout and protecting elections from cyber threats
- Opposing Trump’s judicial nominees who are hostile to voting rights
- Censuring Trump and his enablers for what they’ve unleashed
And, We The People must . . .
