Call to Action: May 1, 2018

“I love money,” candidate Trump said proudly. As president, Trump is making money the way he did in the private sector – taking every opportunity to enrich himself and his family while driving the country into bankruptcy.

He is licensing his name to overseas projects while peddling coffee mugs and shot glasses with the presidential seal.

He raided the treasury with his “tax reform,” which will save him and other billionaires tens of millions but create $1.5 trillion more in debt. The interest payments alone on that debt will soon be greater than the DOD budget.

He has assembled a cabinet of the super-rich and those who will do their bidding. They view regulations as barriers to greater wealth and are now dismembering their departments while pampering themselves at taxpayer expense.

This greedy crew is not hiding their motivation.

The Office of Management and Budget director Mick Mulvaney recently told bankers that manipulating lawmakers with campaign contributions is one of the “fundamental underpinnings of our representative democracy.

The EPA Administrator has pulled a dozen energy lobbyists from the swamp and given them critical appointments to cut regulations.

Follow the money and stop the corruption!

Complicit Greg Walden Won’t Do That!

Vote Him Out!

**ACTION 1: Call Complicit Trump Enabler Greg Walden and our Senators**

 SAMPLE SCRIPT for Greg Walden:
“My name is [–] and I’m a constituent and voter from [city], Oregon, [zip code]. I am calling to DEMAND that Greg Walden begins to restore ethical government by stopping the corruption that has been unleashed by the Trump Administration and GOP leadership in both houses of Congress. This isn’t American and it’s not normal. It’s time for him to PUT COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY, to think of his constituents and not just his donors. We need to see Trump’s taxes and hold hearings to expose and stop this corruption. Thank you.”

SAMPLE SCRIPT for Senators Merkley and Wyden:
“My name is [–] and I’m a constituent and voter from [city], Oregon [zip code]. I’m calling to say that Trump and his administration are the most corrupt in American history. Trump is selling access by directing business to his properties, selling his name and even the presidential seal. OMB director Mick Mulvaney has acknowledged campaign contributions open his door. This isn’t normal. I ask the Senator to demand Trump’s tax returns and hold hearings to expose and stop this corruption. Thank you.”

**ACTION 2: It’s Time To Get Out The Vote**
