STOP THE LIES – STOP KAVANAUGH
A President should tell the truth. A president’s staff should tell the truth. A Supreme Court nominee should tell the truth. Instead, Trump made his 5,000th lie in office, while his former campaign manager pleaded guilty, and his Supreme Court nominee’s perjury came to light.
We cannot let these lies go unanswered. Congress must act.
Paul Manafort’s plea deal and cooperation agreement puts the pressure on Trump’s lies which puts pressure on the Mueller investigation. Congress must protect the Mueller investigation.
Congress must also protect the Supreme Court, and stop Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation. In addition to a credible report of Kavanaugh having committed sexual assault, he lied and committed perjury while giving testimony to Congress under oath in two previous confirmation hearings about:
- Knowledge of Bush’s torture policy
- Knowledge of Bush’s warrantless wiretapping program
- Having accessed and used documents stolen from Democratic staff
- The nomination of two right-wing judges
We cannot have a justice confirmed to the Supreme Court who committed perjury. We cannot have a President under investigation making threats against his investigator.
Congress must do its job: Stop Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation and protect the Mueller investigation.
