Institutional misogyny. Trump and his GOP are entrenching institutional misogyny throughout our government. We cannot let this stand.

Trump, against whom numerous credible allegations of sexual assault have been made, continually degrades and mocks women. His latest verbal onslaught was against Dr. Ford, who after bravely telling her story, was subjected to Trump’s taunts and his supporters’ laughter.

The GOP-led Congress chose to pass a short-term extension of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) instead of an outright reauthorization. Instead of reauthorizing the VAWA, which provides funding to investigate/prosecute domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault, more tax cuts for donors were passed.

In other words,

The GOP-led Senate is rushing to confirm Kavanaugh, whose views on women’s rights are a danger to women’s health, to the Supreme Court when multiple credible allegations of sexual assault have been made. They shun sexual assault survivors and are on the path to hide FBI information to install their operative on the court.
