Call to Action: March 21, 2018

PROTECT KIDS, NOT GUNS

#EnoughIsEnough
#GunReformNow

The facts are clear, stark, and unforgiving.

Shootings are the third leading cause of death for American children. Every year nearly 1300 die and over 6000 are injured.

In other developed countries, a single horrific attack on children has been enough to bring about meaningful gun control. In our country, after accepting NRA millions, legislators—including GREG WALDEN—doubled down. They enacted pro-gun legislation, provided immunity from liability for the gun industry, and effectively halted government funds for gun violence research.

Now our children have had enough. They have found their voices and are speaking out. Led by Parkland shooting survivors, thousands all over the U.S. walked out of their schools on March 14th to protest gun violence. They’ve planned nationwide marches on March 24th. They protested at the White House. They stood up to the NRA and pro-gun politicians in debates. They started a movement.

In many communities, student’s efforts have been obstructed by the very school authorities who should be most supportive. But they have not allowed their activism to be muted to “thoughts and prayers”.

Our children are leading the way. They demand a safe future. Adults must stand with them by calling on our representatives for comprehensive gun legislation.

Gun Reform Now!

Where’s Complicit Greg Walden!?!
