Call to Action and Rally Day: February 19, 2018

Corruption runs rampant in the Trump administration and his GOP.

The GOP tax plan exemplifies corruption. It benefits corporations over individuals while creating a $1.5 trillion deficit. Republicans boasted their tax would help workers. But instead of raising wages, businesses have used the tax plan to enrich themselves by buying back $171 billion in stocks. Only $6 billion has gone to employees. Paul Ryan received a $500,000 campaign donation from the Koch family days after passing the tax plan.

Trump is profiting off his position:
In 2017 Trump properties had record business; he visited them over 100 times
• Trump and his family will pocket millions with the tax bill
• Instead of donating remaining inauguration funds to charity, $26 million went to Melania Trump’s friend

While Paul Ryan insists on cutting healthcare and Mick Mulvaney proposes slashing food stamps by providing boxes of food, official after official (Tom Price, Scott Pruitt, David Shulkin) use tax payer dollars to fly around the globe in first class and on private planes.

Trump and his GOP cannot be allowed to bankrupt our country for donors and themselves. If this Congress can’t hold them accountable, we must vote in one that will.

GOP and #Complict Greg Walden are CORRUPT!

**ACTION 1: Call corrupt #WaldenComplicit and our Senators**
(Leave a message since the office is closed today)

“My name is [–] and I’m a constituent and voter from [city], Oregon [zip code]. I am disgusted by the corruption of Trump and the GOP. The tax plan benefits wealthy donors, Trump is making millions and administration officials jet set on the taxpayer’s dime. I ask the [Senator/Congressman] to 1) get Trump’s taxes released; 2) call for the resignation of Scott Pruitt and David Shullkin; and 3) hold hearings on Trump and his administration’s corruption and ethical violations. [To save his legacy, Greg Walden must ACT to put country before party. He is complict with the GOP corruption until he does. Talk is cheap.] Thank you.”

Share this post with friends and family. Help them ask to their Congressional delegation to 1) get Trump’s taxes released; 2) call for the resignation of Scott Pruitt and David Shullkin; and 3) hold hearings on Trump and his administration’s corruption and ethical violations.
