IMPEACHED POTUS’ WAR POWERS
MUST BE REINED IN
If the Impeached President’s assassination orders for two different locations had succeeded, US forces would have killed not one but two of Iran’s military leadership. The survivor was Abdul Reza Shahlai.
Shahlai is on America’s terrorist list, but is most wanted by Saudi Arabia. In 2011, he organized a plot to murder a Saudi ambassador. In recent years, Shahlai has been financing and leading the war in Yemen against the Saudis.
Why would the Impeached President start another war in the Middle East? His justifications are wobbling. “How does the attempted killing in Yemen have anything to do with an imminent threat?” asked Representative Ro Khanna. Was it just business? As we should all know by now, everything Trump does is transactional. Making “deals” is his world view.
Trump told Fox news last week that he is cutting deals for US troops. The Saudis, he said, had already deposited $1 billion for American military support. Conservative Congressman Justin Amash tweeted: “He sells troops.”
Our troops put their lives on the line to defend America and our values. The Impeached President treats them like his personal mercenaries. We need to investigate these deals and why he pushed America to the brink of war.
