Call to Action: June 13, 2018

PROTECT THE SICK, ALL FAMILIES AND DEMOCRACY

Healthcare is a human right. Victims of abuse deserve shelter. Voting rights must be championed.  The Trump Administration, his politicized Justice Department, and Attorney General Sessions are failing to uphold these values.

In addition to constantly undermining the ACA, Trump signed off on Sessions taking the unprecedented step of not defending the ACA in court.  This administration believes that covering pre-existing conditions is unconstitutional and must be struck down.

To deny coverage to those with pre-existing conditions costs lives.

Sessions created and is enforcing the policy of criminal prosecution at the border, resulting in families being separated, at times with techniques used by the Nazis. And now Sessions has unilaterally decided that domestic abuse will no longer be considered as a reason to seek asylum.

To deny asylum seekers refuge costs lives.

After being confirmed, Session changed the US government’s position to one of being in favor of purging voters from the voting rolls for voting inactivity.  The Supreme Court decided in favor of this position and Trump celebrated.

To celebrate voter suppression hurts our democracy.

Congress must push back on this administration!
