PASS THE HEROES ACT NOW!
Grim Reaper McConnell is refusing to take any action on the HEROES Act until the end of July. That will give the Senate a total of three weeks to pass it before they leave for their month-long summer break. The House bill isn’t perfect, but it includes vital assistance to people whose access to basic needs is still threatened because of the pandemic, as well as aid to actual small businesses.
The Republicans who pushed through a $1.5 trillion tax cut for the rich and who are refusing to disclose how previous relief money has been distributed are pretending that moving quickly on this bill would be fiscally irresponsible. Because, of course they are.
Rather than working now to get vital legislation enacted that would help the people of this country, McConnell will spend the time pushing to fill every possible federal judgeship with extreme conservatives. It’s a political agenda he has been dedicated to ever since Trump was elected and as the next election nears, his pace has quickened.
During this pandemic, it is a moral outrage that McConnell continues to put his political agenda above American lives.
Stop the Grim Reaper!

Lines for Life has created a Virtual Wellness Room to offer support to helpers, mental health professionals, first responders, social workers and anyone considered an essential worker during the COVID-19 pandemic in Oregon. Each check-in call will have a facilitator to guide the conversation.
“We at Lines for Life want to thank you for all the work you do to keep our communities safe,” the organization said. “We are offering a place for helpers to exchange stories of hope and areas of need. We especially want to hear what things are coming up for you personally and explore how we can cheer one another on to continue the good work you are already doing. We ultimately want to create space to breathe out stress and breathe in hope.”
