SAVE OUR LIFE, LIBERTY, AND PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS
Our unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are under attack from Trump and his GOP—which includes Greg Walden.
Our lives are under attack as our safety net is being ripped away. The House Farm Bill cuts nutritional assistance for millions, including hundreds of thousands of children. The House Budget Committee passed a budget that slashes Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security.
Our liberty is under attack from Trump’s judicial nominees. Mitch McConnell is pushing through unqualified judges that attack women’s rights, LGBTQ rights, and worker rights. The next SCOTUS nominee will be the same and change this country for a generation.
Our pursuit of happiness is under attack as families are torn apart at the border and kept in detention indefinitely.
We ask our MoCs to:
- Save our lives by protecting our safety net: a fair farm bill and just healthcare for all
- Save our liberty by refusing to vote on any SCOTUS nominee until January 2019 and while Trump is under investigation
- Save our pursuit of happiness by working to immediately reunite all families separated at the border and end family detention
