With the 2020 election 17 months away, Trump and his cronies are in full combat mode—belittling opposing candidates and smearing them with real and invented ammunition:
- Using Attorney General Barr and government resources to investigate the opposition
- Planning to use foreign sources/hacked materials to smear the opposition
- Manipulating trade policies to gain political advantage, even if bad for the country
Giuliani’s aborted bogus trip to Ukraine to foment investigation of Biden is the latest brazen action. Whether Giuliani ever intended to go, he created a right-wing media blitz to cast doubt on the veracity of Mueller Report and Biden’s ethics, tarnishing them in the electorate’s mind.
That all this is openly discussed shows Trump’s belief that he’s above the law and can get away with anything. House Dems must show him otherwise.
Where’s Walden?
Squarely in the Trump camp, enabling his dirty politics.
The For the People Act (HR 1) may be only way to stop Trump from stealing another election. It passed House two months ago, but McConnell refuses to allow a Senate vote on it or Senator Ron Wyden’s PAVE (Protecting American Votes and Elections) Act.
We must secure our elections by pushing for Senate votes and demanding that the House initiate an impeachment inquiry to show Trump that nobody’s above the law.
