CONGRESS MUST ACT TO STOP TRUMP

#TrumpRussia

#ImpeachmentHearingsNow

Yesterday former FBI Director James Comey testified that President Trump directed him to “let go” of the investigation into former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn. When Comey didn’t, Trump fired him. This is obstruction of justice. http://nyti.ms/2sZvqcW

How Trump and associates stand regarding Russia:

Flynn misled officials about Russian contacts and had to resign
Session perjured himself over Russian meetings AND recused himself from the Russia investigation
Kushner lied about meeting with Russians AND discussed a secret back-channel with Russia
Trump’s lawyer was subpoenaed over Russia
Trump campaign members are providing Congress with information regarding Russia
Trump gave classified information to Russia

Comey testified that:

— Russia hacked our election
— Trump lies
— Trump is likely being investigated for obstruction of justice
— Trump put pressure on him to stop investigating Flynn
— Trump fired him over Russia

Trump’s actions are obstruction of justice. There is no legal recourse – only a political one.

Congress must act!

Oregon senators have strong statements (http://bit.ly/2s14vQy, http://bit.ly/2rb97Qc) but we need ACTION. We need an independent commission. We need articles of impeachment.

We need answers! NOW!

**ACTION 1: CALL CONGRESSMAN WALDEN**

SAMPLE SCRIPT FOR WALDEN:
“My name is [–] and I’m a constituent from [city], Oregon. I am deeply concerned about President Trump and his actions to obstruct justice. It is time for an independent commission and to start the impeachment process. I am outraged that Congressman Walden has not signed on to support HR 356*, which will establish an independent commission to investigate Russian interference in our election. I urgently request that the Congressman co-sponsor this bill and do all he can to bring it to the floor for a vote. I also ask the Congressman support starting the impeachment process and introducing an impeachment resolution.“
