PROTECT OUR VOTING RIGHTS

#VoterSuppression
#VotingRights

Free and fair elections are the bedrock of a functioning democracy. And the US voting system is under attack – at home and abroad.

At home Trump has launched a “voter fraud” commission. With this commission Trump hopes to suppress the vote in 2018 and 2020 http://wapo.st/2uaiZiY. Oregon is partially complying with the commission http://to.pbs.org/2tfbwvy.

Abroad, Russia is attacking our vote. US intelligence agencies definitively state that Russia attacked the United States 2016 elections http://politi.co/2tA35v4.

Trump and the GOP are doing little to protect our elections from Russia:
— Mitch McConnell blocked a bipartisan warning of Russian involvement in the 2016 elections http://bit.ly/2v44dqe.
— Trump believes Russia when they deny interfering in our elections http://cnn.it/2uFhPZM
— Trump briefly proposed a cyber security task force with Russia http://cnn.it/2t3zqZd

We may as well mail our ballots to Moscow http://bit.ly/2tGezNP.

In order to protect our vote from Russia we must know how they hacked our 2016 election. For this we need an independent commission. Special counsel Mueller is tasked with legal issues around the President’s conduct. The GOP-run House and Senate committees are making little progress.

We must protect our voter information!

We must demand an independent commission!

Our democracy depends on it!
