THIS IS WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE RALLY, CENTRAL POINT
Tuesday, July 18, Noon – 2:00 p.m.

This is a non-ORD2 sponsored event.  It is being organized and hosted by:

AND

Details from their Facebook event posting:  “A Revolutionary Crawl will be starting in Central Point at the Robert Pfaff Park at Noon. Please plan to meet in the park, rally, then walk State Street to the freeway and back again.

Robert Pfaff Park is between 6th and 7th, one block behind the Post Office. While walking the streets of Central Point with signs, expect to get less honks and more confused looks.

Hope you can turn out at this event. As far as we know a Progressive Revolutionary Crawl has not been done before; taking the revolution to the small towns behind the red lines. Please limit your signs to a positive theme, more about what you want than insulting what you don’t like. Thank you for your co-operation on this.”

ORD2 SATURDAY RALLY
Saturday July 22, Noon – 1:30 p.m.

Come join us for our 4th Saturday of the Month Rally, once again in Alba Park, 301 East Main Street in Medford.  We will gather at the gazebo and hear from several speakers including Nurse Practitioner Lauri Hoaglund.  Lauri has some 38 years of experience in health care, is currently practicing at La Clinica, has delivered articulate, powerful messages to Greg Walden and has inspired us at previous ORD2 events.

Please note that there are numerous large, beautiful shade trees around the gazebo and throughout Alba Park.  Bring your families, friends and signs, a blanket for sitting on the grass if you are so inclined, and once again join us as we show our community that we are committed to protecting each other. Raise your voice and help us fight for the lives of Oregonians and people across our nation.

Become a Neighborhood Leader!

This is a non-ORD2 sponsored event.

Join us on Thursday, August 3 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the Adams Room at the Medford Public Library, 205 South Central for Neighborhood Leader Program (NLP) Training.  The NLP is a progressive grassroots Get Out the Vote network, one neighbor at a time. Given the current state of affairs, we hope you will join us.  Those interested in attending please contact Paul Dieterich at:

The program is simple. The whole idea is to get as many progressive voters as possible to fill out and send in their ballots.

• Talk to progressive neighbors registered as members of the Pacific Green, Progressive, Working Family, and Democratic parties. You will be provided with a list of about 35 homes right around your house. On average, this would account for about 50 voters.
• Knock on doors of your neighbors now, and occasionally again, including near election time. If they are not home, you can try another time, at your leisure.
• Develop a relationship with your progressive neighbors. Thank them for voting in the past. Ask them about the issues that concern them the most. And ask them to fill out a “voter pledge card,” pledging that they will vote in the next election.

Talking to your neighbors is the best way to turn out votes. Nothing else is even close. For example, Deschutes County had an 87% progressive voter turnout in neighborhoods that had a Neighborhood Leader in November of 2016.

Speaking face-to-face with your fellow voters is a time-honored and proven way to win elections. Even in our world, which is so influenced by social media and other new technologies, no other method comes close to effectiveness in getting out the vote.

WE HOPE TO SEE YOU AT THE TRAINING!
