VOTE NO ON CLAYTON FOR SEC CHAIR
——————————————————————————————

On Tuesday, Jay Clayton, Trump’s nominee for Chair of the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) was cleared by the Senate Banking Committee. Three Democrats crossed the aisle in a vote of 15-8, to move the nomination forward: Mark Warner (VA), Heidi Heitkamp (ND) and Jon Tester (MT).

We’re asking our Senators to consider Clayton’s numerous conflicts of interest and vote NO

Clayton’s wife is an advisor for Goldman Sachs, an institution he’ll be charged with regulating.

-Reuters reported that prior to his nomination, Clayton communicated with Peter Thiel, member of the Trump transition team and co-founder of a company with a $43 million contract with the SEC. http://reut.rs/2ndrJ4O

Clayton currently represents Duestche Bank, the German financial institution embroiled in a $10 billion Russian money laundering scandal. Deustche Bank also happens to be the LARGEST KNOWN CREDITOR TO TRUMP.
