WE NEED COMMON SENSE GUN LAWS

Gun violence has now overtaken motor vehicle accidents to become the second leading killer of young people in the U.S.  Republicans in Congress believe the solution is more guns.

When Pence and Trump spoke at the recent NRA convention, none of the “good guys” in attendance were permitted to bring guns into the building. n

Yet Trump and the GOP says filling our schools with armed teachers will protect our children.

Now the House has passed Concealed Carry Reciprocity, called by the NRA it’s “highest legislative priority”.   This act would override state’s own concealed carry laws. It forces all states to accept permits issued by every other state, even those with weak or non-existent standards.  This includes twelve states which require no permit at all.

This bill is headed to the Senate.  We need responsible gun laws, not what one Police Chief called “reciprocity with places where any buffoon who has a pulse gets to carry a gun.”

Most Americans support more stringent gun laws, but polls show that the public’s attention to gun violence is slipping back to levels preceding the Parkland shooting.  Our children cannot afford our complacency.

Enough is Enough!

Sensible Gun Reform NOW!
