No Cuts to Care: Vote No on Ballot Measure 106

“This ballot measure asks voters to allow the state to set a dangerous precedent by cherry-picking which medical procedures will and won’t be covered by insurance,” says Kalpana Krishnamurthy, National Field and Policy Director at Forward Together, one of several organizations working to defeat Measure 106 as part of the No Cuts to Care campaign that was launched on July 6, when proponents turned in signatures. “Oregonians have already voted down similar measures twice, and we expect them to do the same in November; it just isn’t aligned with our values.”
We invite you to canvass with Planned Parenthood of Southwestern Oregon to help educate voters in Ashland about the details of this proposed legislation. If enacted, Measure 106 would make it “so only those who can afford it are able to access abortion. A right is not a right if you can’t afford to access it. No matter how you feel about abortion, no one should be denied healthcare because they can’t afford it.”
Meet at the Ashland Health Center of Ashland, Oregon, 1532 Siskiyou Blvd. on October 20th and October 28.
Canvassing will take place between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on October 20th.
Canvassing will take place between noon and 4:00 p.m. on October 28.
