DAYS UNTIL BALLOTS MAILED: 9

DAYS UNTIL BALLOTS DUE: 29

THANK YOU, SENATORS WYDEN AND MERKLEY!!

Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed to the Supreme Court by a 50-48 vote, despite ample evidence that he:

  • Repeatedly lied to the Senate
  • Lacks the necessary judicial temperament and demeanor
  • Repeatedly abused alcohol and blacked out
  • Sexually assaulted and demeaned women

Kavanaugh’s ascension to SCOTUS will sharply shift the Court to the right on many vital issues including executive power, the ACA, Roe v. Wade, environmental regulations, LGBTQ, voting, and other civil rights.

Seven brave Democrats in red statesSenators Heitkamp, Donnelly, McCaskill, Stabenow, Tester, Brown, Baldwin, all of whom are up for re-election in November — were joined by GOP Senator Murkowski in opposing Kavanaugh.

Senator Merkley spoke from 4 to 6 a.m. on the Senate floor, reading letters from constituents detailing their stories of sexual abuse. Senator Wyden also gave a passionate speech against Kavanaugh’s nomination.

All of these Senators deserve our gratitude.

The Kavanaugh vote starkly underscores the vital importance of the upcoming election – 29 days away. We must mobilize around the searing disappointment and anger that we are experiencing TO GET OUT THE VOTE and elect a Peoples’ Congress that will represent us and check our lawless president.

To stop Trump and his disastrous policies, we need a new Congress. And in Oregon Congressional District 2, we need to be represented in the US House!

This election is the most important of our lives.
