Call to Action: September 7, 2018

Call To Action: National

DAYS UNTIL MID-TERM BALLOTS WILL BE MAILED: 40

DAYS UNTIL MID-TERM BALLOTS ARE DUE: 60

STOP TRUMP’S & GOP’S RACIST AGENDA

The Trump regime’s racism is seeping across America, endangering the very foundation of our country. We must all act to stop these atrocities, the latest of which include:

Over five hundred children are still separated from their parents, weeks past a court ordered deadline to reunite them, enduring psychological harm the Trump administration is knowingly perpetrating. Discussions of how “to be smarter” the next time this is done are being held.  There is no end in sight for these suffering families. The Trump administration just proposed a rule to allow longer detention of children.

The official death toll in Puerto Rico from Hurricane Maria has been adjusted to nearly 3000 (from 64). Ten containers of supplies were left to rot while people go without aid and still suffer from a lack of proper medical facilities and electricity.

Citizens at the border are being denied passports and/or having their passport revoked. Their very citizenship is thrown into question and they are being jailed in immigration detention centers or placed in deportation proceedings.

Bank of America has been freezing accounts after asking about customers legal status in the United States.

Work to turn both houses of Congress BLUE and, remember . . .

Diversity is strength!

**ACTION THREE: STAND WITH IMMIGRANTS IN OREGON**

This November, Measure 105 (formerly IP 22) is on the ballot.  This is an attempt by anti-immigration groups to repeal Oregon’s 30-year-old sanctuary state law.  Commit to vote NO on 105 and make sure all your friends and family do the same.
