The Jackson County Employees Association (a sub-local of SEIU Local 503) has been in bargaining since May trying to get to a fair contract with a management team that is increasingly refusing to negotiate fairly with their employees.
The Jackson County union contract expired on June 30th, and their bargaining team has been hard at work negotiating for something equitable for all parties.
“Bargaining is becoming incredibly difficult. We are negotiating for the next contract for the next three years, but we are also working without a contract right now. Which is really concerning for a lot of the employees,” says Del Hackworth, a union activist and member of the bargaining team.
We invite everyone to gather with us in a Rally of Support on Tuesday, September 10th at 5:30 pm on the sidewalk of the Community Justice Building at 1101 W. Main Street in Medford.
This is where we feel we will make the most impact and we hope you can join us. We also hope you will help our efforts by signing our petition in support of a contract that includes:
Fair Wages.
Comprehensive, affordable benefits.
Improved and safe working conditions.

The petitions will be emailed to the commissioners on the same day ahead of the delivery to Management’s bargaining team.
We also invite you to help spread the word and recruit additional people to attend our rally on September 10.
