Join the SOCAN contingent for a noon rally on the Capitol Steps in Salem in support of meaningful greenhouse gas emissions reduction legislation in Oregon.
We will car-pool from the Fred Meyer parking lot (1301 Center Street in Medford – near the pumps), meeting on February 11 at 7:45 a.m. leaving at 8:00 a.m.
Opponents of action consistently claim that climate programs represent a Portland campaign against rural Oregon. Since we are rural Oregon, it is critically important that southern Oregon is well represented. Please wear an orange SOCAN or grey SOCAN Master Climate Protector T-shirt, or an ORD2 Indivisible T-shirt to demonstrate your Southern Oregon origins (oranges).
SOCAN will purchase carbon credits for those joining the car-pool, and will reimburse gasoline costs for drivers wishing to take advantage of the offer. If you are interested in joining the car-pool, as driver or passenger, please let Alan know at firstname.lastname@example.org so you can get further information as the date approaches.
