SUMMARY:Women's March Southern Oregon - Medford
DESCRIPTION:Women’s March Southern Oregon 2019: BUILDING OUR BENCH\nFirst and foremost\, this year’s Women’s March is about celebration. For two years\, we worked tirelessly to change the social and political landscape of our country. In the face of massive bigotry\, xenophobia\, misogyny\, and disregard for laws and norms\, we stood strong and united with love and purpose to protect our communities and our planet. So we take this opportunity to be thankful for our accomplishments and grateful for the opportunity to work together toward the common good. \nBut our work isn’t over yet. In business\, they talk about the importance of building the bench – building depth at the bottom\, middle\, and top — to ensure that the team can sustain its performance over time. And this is what we must do. We must invest in our community so that we all have the skills and tools we need to be successful over time. \nSo this year we want to focus on building our bench. We want to highlight people and organizations that are investing in our community of girls\, women\, and other underrepresented groups…educating them\, mentoring them\, and helping them build strength in their minds and in their bodies. We hope that by bringing attention to the amazing work that’s going on\, we can encourage a more diverse group of people to get involved\, step up\, and become the leaders that we know they can be. \nJanuary 19\, 2019 – Hawthorne Park\, 501 East Main Street\, Medford from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.\nOur GoFundMe campaign is here: https://www.gofundme.com/women039s-march-southern-oregon-2019 \nWebsite: http://www.womensmarchsouthernoregon.com

SUMMARY:Non-ORD2 Indivisible Sponsored Event: Benefit Performance for Jamie McLeod-Skinner: A Staged Reading\, Late To Love - Ashland
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for this lovely event — a staged reading of LATE TO LOVE\, an original play by co-writers Susanne Severeid and Tim Kelly — at the Ashland Public Library\, Gresham Room\, 410 Siskiyou Blvd. (enter at the rear of the building) on Saturday\, October 6th\, at 7:00 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.). $20 minimum donation suggested. \nDue to limited space\, secure your seat early by making your donation here:\n https://act.myngp.com/Forms/5939201239506881280\nAny remaining tickets will be available at the door. \nSet in Ashland\, Oregon\, a sophisticated\, progressive town of 20\,000. This modern drama tells the story of a mature man and woman struggling to find–one last time–the beauty and passion of youthful innocent love against the backdrop of a world that seems more cynical than idealistic. \nIs it possible for Paul and Maggie to reach across the divides of despair\, family dysfunction\, and today’s political and environmental chaos to find the love and personal connection that they both long for? Or is it too Late to Love? \n“Ms. Severeid is luminous as Maggie\, a world-weary doctor who is struggling to find a reason to keep fighting what she sees as a losing battle. Mr. Kelly is charming and tender as Paul\, an aging OSF actor who longs to find meaning in his life…in the end what they find is each other. ” \nStephanie Bartlett\, theater review\, Sneak Preview \nSusanne Severeid is an award-winning actor\, presenter\, author and playwright.  She has performed internationally in television\, film\, and radio\, including a one-woman show on Marlene Dietrich\, and hosted an EMMY Award-winning documentary for PBS-TV. www.susannesevereid.com \nTim Kelly is a local actor\, writer\, director\, teacher\, and sound designer. He has appeared in dozens of plays. His favorite role was Mayor Shin in Music Man …. twice! \nThank you for your support!
