STOP MILITARY INVOLVEMENT IN YEMEN

#YemenCantWait  #YemenCrisis

While Trump fixates on his wall, the worst humanitarian crisis in the world continues to rage in Yemen. And the U.S. is complicit in its horrors.

We are currently providing logistical and intelligence support to the Saudi coalition. We are selling them the bombs and missiles which have caused tens of thousands of civilian deaths.  There are direct air strikes, like the attack on a school bus which killed 51.  There is death from the destruction of critical infrastructure.

The result of bombed and blockaded ports and infrastructure:

  • 76% of the population, around 22 million people, in dire need of humanitarian aid
  • 16-20 million with no reliable access to food and water facing starvation
  • Millions with limited access to medical aid, while over a hundred thousand are suffering in the largest cholera epidemic in the world

Last week the House passed a resolution directing the President to end the current U.S. policy of arming and supporting the Saudi coalition.Where does Walden stand on this issue?

Greg Walden voted AGAINST this resolution ending military support for the Saudi war crimes in Yemen. #WaldenComplict! The next step is passing its companion resolution in the Senate.

End U.S. Complicity Killing Yemeni Civilians!

Stop Arms Sales to Saudi Arabia!

… Thank you.”

Sample script for Greg Walden:
